WIN: Froggie Shoes
Froggie Shoes are hot this winter!
The cold, unwelcoming breeze of the looming winter may not seem too chilly anymore thanks to Froggie’s winter range of shoes and boots. With shoe trends for winter 2010 being much more 'practical' than last winter, Froggie has a range of easy-to-wear styles such as Froggie Flats and Boots.
Froggie Brogues are a fringe trend in ladies' footwear this season. Traditionally for men, brogues are characterised by their top cap pattern and are low-heeled shoes. Froggie’s wing-tipped punched brogues can be paired with anything from pencil skirts to wide legged trousers - the key to getting the look right is to counterbalance the masculine influences of brogues with a feminine silhouette or details. Froggie’s Brogues will definitely add a bit of ’20s charm to your shoe wardrobe.
Designed for Beauty – Engineered for Comfort
During the winter season every woman truly needs one thing to make it through… a good pair of boots! It also helps if they are fashionable and cozy at the same time… Froggie’s range of winter boots are easy to slip on and wear and are versatile enough to wear with skirts, dresses or jeans.
Have fun, pull on a pair of Froggie boots, and get to walking… after all, that’s what they’re made to do!
A truly South African brand
Styled according to international fashion trends, designed in conjunction with a leading podiatrist, and made from only the finest quality leather that is put through a special tumbling process, Froggie Shoes are proudly made for the South African woman's feet. A statement of quality, comfort and style.
The most important foot care during winter
Your feet should be protected from cold and damp weather by keeping them warm and dry, with good skin texture. This is critical to support good blood circulation, especially for diabetics. Poor skin texture can be seen in skin that is flaky and dry, as well as in skin that is too moist. Adjust dry flaky texture with an exfoliating cream followed by applying a good foot and heel balm. Consult a podiatrist for anti-perspirant foot treatment.
Best way to warm cold feet at night
Have a warm bath or soak your feet in warm water (not hot) for 5 to 10 minutes before going to bed. Then rub your feet with your favourite heel balm and get into bed that you have previously warmed for at least 15 minutes (hot water bottle or electric blanket). A pair of non constricting thick socks works well for extreme cases. Remember to switch off the electric blanket once you’re in bed. Never place a heating pad or electric blanket directly in contact with your feet, nor sit with your feet exposed in front of a heater or fire.

What is my shoe size?
No foot has a fixed or single size, but rather has several sizes and shapes. The foot is one size and shape at rest, another when you are bearing weight or standing upright, still another when walking or running (due to gravity and momentum), and again a different size under various conditions (heat, humidity, cold, normal swelling, etc.).
So, paradoxically, the question “what size is my shoe size?” probably has no answer. It shows that shoe size is actually a kind of compromise. Does this mean we throw up our hands in defeat? Not at all, we should still try to find the most accurate fit and this means you should not become fixated on what your size “number” is. The size and shape of the foot will also change as a woman ages, loses or gains weight, exercises, becomes pregnant or enters menopause.
