Beauty Feature Friday: swing into spring

Lips

I’m currently obsessing over the new Clarins Smooth Crystal Lip Balm. Lips are left soft, silky, and the Crystal Red (my favourite) leaves lips looking like you’ve just savoured some raspberry sorbet.

Face

I am also piling on the Clarins Instant Smooth Compact Highlighter. Soft, subtle colour adds a sparkling glow due to the soft shimmer and cream blush consistency. Use Caramel for a golden glow and Peach for a soft glow on already bronzed skin. It’s like icing sugar, so pretty!

Hair

On Monday I got to spend the afternoon with some lovely ladies at The One & Only Hair Salon, Shelene of Tanaz and Hayley of Contour Hair & Beauty (021 761 9265), to perfect my summer locks.

L’Oreal has bought out an innovative new permanent hair colour range called Inoa.

It’s based on an Oil Delivery System which penetrates colour deep into the hair follicle, respecting the natural protective outer layer, leaving hair looking shiny, healthy and colour rich on the outside.

The absolute joy about this product is that it contains no ammonia – so whereas before one often experienced a sharp smell and burning around the eyes with most permanent hair colours, there is no discomfort to eyes or scalp, and no smell.

With 65 colours, there’s something for everyone! Inoa is a little more expensive than most hair colour, but it’s like going organic! You choose to eat healthier? So it’s the choice to feed your hair healthier too. I’m loving my colour, it’s like the summer sun ran its fingers through my hair!

Nails

Watch out this spring (coming out September) for the new Essie Collection, Art of Spring. I’m loving Red Nouveau. It’s fabulous for this spring’s nautical trend.

Skin

By now we all know that sun damage is the enemy and causes premature ageing. Let me introduce you to a girl's best bronze friend, Xen-Tan.
