At last! ZARA opens in Cape Town

Cape Town fashionistas, you know where your next paycheck is going...the ZARA concept store has finally opened its doors in the V&A Waterfront...
Last night I was lucky to be one of the privileged few to get to shop at the new ZARA store before the crowds descended for the public opening this morning. I am happy to report that the store is beautiful, spacious and very international (apparently it's only the second branch of the new concept store look, after New York). There is a huge selection of clothing, ranging from the young women's range TRAFALUC to the more sophisticated ZARA WOMAN.
The prices are varied and on a par with Woolworths, YDE and Country Road, depending on what you're buying
I saw some cute basic tees with ruched sleeves (you'll spot them in the image gallery below) for R159, and at the upper end of the scale you'll find leather statement jackets for over R2 000.
There's a little something for everyone - from cute prints, peplum dresses, Chanel-inspired jackets and lace shorts, to maxi skirts, Peter Pan collar blouses, pastel skinnies and toe-cap heels. If you want to know what's trendy for spring, just take a quick browse around the store - they pretty much have everything covered!
Take a look through the image gallery below for some of my favourite ZARA finds...
