Beat pain, stress and depression with the Elexoma Medic

READ THE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS: ASK YOU OWN QUESTIONS (AT THE BOTTOM OF THIS ARTICLE)

It's here! The stress-busting brain-booster that makes you calm, cheerful and confident - fast! (Or your money back)

Relax! Sleep well! Laugh more! Study better! Be more!

Do you want a rapid solution to stress? Is worry wearing you down? When last did you laugh from your heart (or your belly, for that matter)?

The pace of life today means we are often burning the candle at three ends and using a blow torch to do so. Our bodies (and brains!) cannot cope with all the demands. As a result, we see an explosion in people suffering from depression, anxiety disorders, sleeplessness, anger attacks, chronic headaches - you name it.

The solution: the Elexoma Medic

Fortunately, an astonishing solution is now available. A simple yet extremely powerful device that has no less than three Nobel prizes backing it up! It is called the Elexoma Medic and it is turning lives around.

What's three times better than Prozac?

CES was found to be two times more effective in treating depression than the most effective antidepressant drugs on the market. In fact, CES treatment is three times as effective as fluoxetine (Prozac) in the curing of depression, compared to placebo (fake treatment).

Get that? Three times more effective than Prozac in treating depression! If that's what it did for full-blown medical depression, imagine what it can do for a little bit of low mood?

Sleep deeper, wake brighter

Now what about sleeplessness and tiredness? Here's the good news:

One study reported an average 67% effectiveness in treating sleeping disorders among 648 patients, while increasing daytime vigilance.
- Smith RB, Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation, Oklahoma: Tate Publishing and Enterprises, LLC. 2007, pp 37-43.

In other words, two out of three people suffering from insomnia reported sleeping normally after CES treatment.

No pain = NO PAIN!

Pain is part of life for most humans. But too much pain can dominate your life to such an extent that it rules your life - relationships suffer, your work suffers, sleep suffers. Life becomes a misery.

Pain is the presenting complaint in eight out of 10 visits to the doctor! There is an entire industry built around pain. Painkillers are not innocent drugs, however, since they have many side effects, some of which can even be life threatening. The Elexoma provides a form of pain relief that is rapid and free of side effects.

One study reported an average 92% increase in beta-endorphins in the CSF after only 20 minutes of a single CES treatment. The CSF (cerebro-spinal fluid) is the fluid that surrounds the brain and beta-endorphins are the body's own pain-fighting chemicals. An increase in the body's endorphins means that you feel less pain and feel much better overall.

Proven 386% increase in attention span after a single 20 minute treatment

Dr Frank Muller is a medical doctor and a pharmacologist with a keen interest in alternative medicine, in particular herbal remedies and electrotherapy. We spoke to him about this little 'miracle machine':

The Elexoma Medic is supported by Swiss technology. How long has it been around internationally and is it new to South Africa?

The Elexoma was developed in the early 2000s and tested under controlled conditions. I had been involved in selling electrotherapy devices in South Africa for some years, more as a hobby than anything else.

Since one of the Elexoma developers has links to South Africa and since I was a doctor who understood something about electrotherapy, I was approached to help evaluate the Elexoma in clinical practice.

After two years of doing this, I was so utterly convinced by the effectiveness of this magical little machine that I insisted on getting a distribution license. So, I've been actively marketing the Elexoma since the beginning of this year. The exceptional results continue to surprise me, even though I've already seen so many people benefitting from it.

The machine claims to work by “ providing tiny electrical impulses to the body (this is commonly called MET or Microcurrent Electrical Therapy). These impulses stimulate cells to make a range of chemicals that are essential for peak performance. When these impulses are applied to the brain (something commonly called CES or Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation), the nerve cells are stimulated to communicate faster and better”.

Can you guarantee its safety and are there any side effects?

Electrotherapy is much safer (and often much more effective) than any Western treatment out there and yet people continue to drink medicines in large quantities. Electrotherapy has a long history of use.

Over the centuries, it has become clear that only a tiny amount of current is needed to achieve good outcomes. The Elexoma incorporates the most recent scientific findings and therefore it delivers microcurrent. Microcurrent is an electrical current so small that the human skin can hardly feel it. It's more like being tickled with a feather than anything else. Yet this tiny current does all the hard work of restoring cells to balance.

A few people have complained of tiredness or mild headache after their first treatment, but these symptoms were short-lived. After the second or third treatment, there were almost no complaints of side effects anymore.

It really is an extremely safe form of treatment. The American Food and Drug Administration (FDA) also agree and readily allow the use of microcurrent therapy.

The Elexoma Medic machine makes some amazing claims. Have you used it yourself and what conditions did it improve for you?

There is this saying of, "Physician, heal thyself."  Well, I was certainly in need of some healing myself some years ago, when I had a slipped disc.  The pain was so excruciating, I could not sleep. But microcurrent therapy at the site of the pain took it away almost immediately and helped me to have a good night's sleep.

And post-operatively, I could treat the muscle spasms in my back effectively, too. While I don't have much wrong with my brain (my wife disagrees), I use the Elexoma's CES programme to boost me in the morning. I call it my electric coffee. At night, it has the opposite effect and helps me to sleep deeply and wake refreshed.

One of the most powerful effects I have seen was in a close friend suffering from severe depression. He was on maximal dosages of three drugs and still near-suicidal.  After three days of treatment with the Elexoma (half an hour a day), he was effectively normal again.

He managed to become drug-free and is now a happy man. Occasionally, he might boost himself with his Elexoma, but he is not dependent on it for his good mood.  There are many similar stories I could tell, though this is one of the more dramatic ones. Anybody suffering from pain, anxiety or low mood can benefit.

Is the brain-boosting power and increase in attention span achieved by the relaxation properties of the machine?  I have read that the machine increases energy to the cells, which stimulates the production of endorphins and serotonin, chemicals needed for happiness and relaxation.  In other words, do you believe that a relaxed brain is more focused and can retain more information?

This is a tricky one to answer simply, since brain chemistry is very complex (to put it mildly). Attention span deficits are effectively due to a kind of addiction to change.

The brain needs a continuous stream of new information to feel "good". By supplying the "feel good" hormones in a natural way (they are released from the brain cells, not added to the body from outside), the brain can focus on other things than obtaining the next "fix". So, the "relaxed" brain can focus because it is not constantly hunting for the next distraction.

This is also why the Elexoma helps for sleep - most people struggle to sleep because their brains are just too busy. And you don't have to be a brain surgeon to realise that a busy brain is liable to forget things. The Elexoma really helps in this regard, too. It is easier to store memories and easier to retrieve them when you are relaxed and not in a panic.

So what exactly does this little wonder machine look like?

For all its powerful benefits, the Elexoma Medic is remarkably small and portable. It's about as big as your hand and as thick as your fingers. It weighs as much as a large slab of chocolates and has a large liquid crystal screen that is friendly to read and easy to understand.

A big silver button in the middle of the Elexoma does most of the work. Use this button to select one of the eight pre-set programmes and to set them in motion. The high quality casing is sturdy, with an elegant satin-chrome finish.

You have so much confidence in the product that you offer a 100% money-back guarantee if a customer is still not satisfied after 365 days! Does this mean that there are always guaranteed results?

I describe myself as being in the business of making people happy.  To do that, it is not enough to simply sell a brilliant device that lifts the mood and alleviates pain. The whole buying experience must make people happy and the after-sales service must make them happy, too. This is why I decided to offer the 12 month money back guarantee.

Firstly, because I am so confident that the Elexoma will perform, but secondly because I don't want unhappy customers. If something doesn't work for you, you should be able to return it for a full refund, no hassles. Life is just too short to be unhappy about a dud purchase.

While I am confident about the power of microcurrent therapy to heal, I also have to admit that there is no "one size fits all" solution to all health problems. But I do know that more than 98% of users will find significant relief from stress, low mood, sleeplessness and chronic pain when they use the Elexoma. And if my Elexomates are happy, it makes me very happy indeed.

In summary, what's in it for you:

Relieve anxiety
Beat the "blues"
Beat phobias, addictions and / or obsessions
Beat anger
Relieve pain - even severe or chronic pain
Become calm and confident
Become cheerful
Become focused
Become relaxed
Become attentive
Boost your memory
Boost your work performance
Sleep well

It's so easy to get started

Getting hold of an Elexoma Medic couldn't be easier. This simple yet powerful little device with all its accessories could be yours for as little as R3,990 or there is a R299 a month leasing facility with an option to purchase.

Thanks for the note, Heila! And the vote of confidence.

I received two private queries that I will answer here, for everyone's benefit:

Could Elexoma be expected to help with AD(H)D?

Since I believe that Attention Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder is not a medical diagnosis, but a social one, I have no direct, clear answer. Yes, a significant number of children who have been professionally diagnosed with AD(H)D have benefitted greatly from the Elexoma Medic. And yes, research has shown conclusively that attention span is greatly improved after microcurrent electrotherapy. But I don't want to stick my neck out much further than that. In one case that was reported to me afterwards only, a mother used the Elexoma on her teenage daughter who was on three different antipsychotic drugs for ADD. The child was fully normal again within days and is completely drug-free now. Her maths marks went up from ~20% to ~80% within one school term. However, in other cases, no such dramatic benefit was detected, other than maybe improved sleep pattern, or less restlessness. For a primarily social condition such as ADD, any intervention should also ideally involve a change of lifestyle in order to be successful (I could write a book on this and may yet do so one day). But, let's face it, using something as harmless as the Elexoma is at least worth a try. And, if it does not work for you / your child, you can simply send it back for a full refund. That's the beauty of it. No drug company would do that. As for safety, it is quite safe for use in children, I use it on my own children from time to time.

Second question: Does the Elexoma help for migraine?

Oh yes, and how! Daily CES treatments substantially decrease the frequency of migraine attacks (prophylaxis) and treatment during the early (or even not-so-early) stages of a migraine attack can abort it (or significantly relieve it) within minutes. And you can also use it after an attack to re-energise your brain, rapidly shaking off that foggy feeling that normally lingers for a day or so after a migraine attack. You don't need to be a mathematician to calculate how quickly the machine pays for itself if you are a migraine sufferer. Migraine drugs are horribly expensive and losing a day or more a month due to migraine affects your work productivity tremendously.

Dear René, I am sorry to hear of your son's struggles. The Elexoma most certainly has the potential to help him get his enthusiasm for life back. I have seen many cases similar to this one improve quite dramatically over time - some in days, some longer (one relative of mine, who had serious memory damage after a car accident and little short-term memory, is now so well that he is studying to become a pilot - and getting distinctions for all his exams - for which he thanks his Elexoma).

Yes, we offer a rental option against a monthly debit order of R299. If the Elexoma does NOT perform according to your expectation, you can return it within the first month of rental and we will refund your R299. If you decide to buy the Elexoma after starting with the rental option, you will have to fist complete 12 months of rental before you can buy the Elexoma.

To buy or to rent, simply go to our website (follow the link given in the article above to get an additional 5% discount) and click on the bright red buttons that apply to your choice: Buy, Rent, Order via Fax. We include the Fax Order for people who are hesitant to buy online. We dispatch within 24 hours of receiving proof of payment and delivery normally takes place another 24 hours later (except over weekends). So, you could have your Elexoma within two days of ordering it.

Safe to use by yourself: That is the whole point of the Elexoma - to enable people to take control of their own health. So, yes, it is indeed quite safe to use by yourself. Other than mild drowsiness (~10% of users) or mild headache (< 5% of users) after the first treatment or two, there are no other known side-effects. This is after ~60 years of microcurrent therapy and CES being tested and used worldwide.

In summary: The Elexoma has a great chance of making a significant difference to your son's quality of life. Our service is fast and you carry NO risk - if the Elexoma doesn't work, you give it back and we refund your money.

Sounds wonderful. I am really intersted. My son is suffering from depression and all the other effects that goes with that, no energy, no confidence, bad sleeping, no interest, suicidal talks etc. as a result from a sport injury he sustained at school when he was in std. 7.(Before the injury he was achieving brilliantly in sport and academics, but now has no interest in life at all!) He is now 20 and the problem is effecting his life severely. Have tried everything, am desperate. If a person rent the machine from you, how do you go about and how long does it take for delivery. As I have said, I am rather desperate. Do you think that in his instance this could work? Is this safe to use by yourself? And money back is guaranteed? I am fully prepared to pay if this is going to work and have no problem with that, but if it doesn't, I need to have the assurance that I can claim my money back. Await to hear from you. Many thanks for your assistance.

Charlene, I've had mixed results with people suffering from Tourette's syndrome. For most, the restlessness and aggressiveness is reduced, but the "tics" are not really relieved. Overall, these people sleep better and function better, but I don't have enough evidence (anecdotal or researched) to recommend the Elexoma for Tourette's.

Dear Heila and Helena

Let me try and answer your questions in one breath…

Duration of session: Each treatment session lasts for about 15 to 25 minutes, depending on the indication. Duration can also be increased to 99 minutes, but I find that the preset durations are more than adequate for most but the really exceptional cases.

Duration of treatment: This depends on the cause of the problem being treated. Where chronic pain is being treated (for example, from a slipped disc or cancer), the Elexoma cannot CURE the cause, it can only relieve the pain. But then again, pain killers do the same, except with serious side effects. So, in such instances, treatment will be for life. Where the indication has to do with anxiety or mood, it varies a lot. Some people are permanently free from their complaint after only a few sessions, but they keep the device handy to boost them whenever they face a crisis. Others need longer term treatment. I boost myself from time to time when work gets demanding, maybe once a month or so (payday…). But there is NO danger of addiction to the Elexoma. In fact, I know of a number of clients who successfully used the Elexoma to get OFF addictive drugs (prescription or otherwise).

Pain relief: The Elexoma is one of the most dramatic pain-relievers I have seen in my life. Stick on the electrodes, set the programme and intensity and a quarter of an hour later, the pain is bearable, or even gone. Chronic pain does not disappear completely on the first treatment, but it is significantly relieved. This has to do with the way the brain perceives chronic pain (a large part of chronic pain is in the brain and no longer in the original source of the pain). But, over time, even chronic pain can be completely relieved (depending on the severity of the underlying cause). A couple bought an Elexoma last month - the wife had severe backache after a car accident some years ago, which was not being relieved by ANY therapy. Two days after receiving the Elexoma, the husband phoned me to thank me for giving him back his "old wife" (he didn't mean it like THAT!).

Where to buy the Elexoma? The Elexoma is only available from Integrow Health and we direct all our business via our internet site. The reason for this is that we can provide much better client service that way (and I'm fanatical about service). However, for those who feel uncomfortable with internet ordering, we provided a "Fax Order" option on our site, meaning you can download the order forms, complete them and fax them to us - nothing happens online. We also throw in the courier fee for free - it's just another way of making it easier for our clients to get hold of the Elexoma.

Price: Price is always an issue. With the Elexoma, the treatment cost is paid up-front, whereas with drugs, it is a continuous, monthly expense. But if you add the medication costs all up, you'd be surprised how high the bill is. Also, unlike an aspirin, the Elexoma can be shared between family members - you get more for the price of one. Doing business online enabled me to reduce the price per device from ~R7,000 to ~R4,000 (by cutting out the middle people). That saving is passed on directly to the final client - I take no extra profit. Furthermore, we offer a rental option for those who struggle to pay a large lump sum. Our credit card facility allows buying on budget. All in all, we bend over backwards to offer as many options to our clients as possible - while realising we still need to make enough money to continue providing a quality service! If none of our options on offer fits your budget, talk to me. There is always a solution to a challenge and I am flexible.

Is this a lifetime thing? How long would I have to do these sessions and for what duration (1 month / 1 year)?
I am very interested, but the price will put me out of pocket.

Dear Jonathan

You pose the challenge that CES "looks" better than antidepressant drugs because it doesn't trick people into thinking that it works as well as drugs do ("placebo effect"). This platform is not the right one for a statistical discussion, so I will try and answer as clearly as possible without using confusing terms. I trust you understand.

* I do not want to promote CES for clinical depression. As a doctor, I believe it works extremely well for that indication, but as a salesperson, I cannot in good faith promote a "one size fits all" solution to something as serious as depression. I make this point on my website, too - if CES works for depression (and the best research proves that it does), then it is surely not a presumption that it will work for low / depressed mood (which is what I am promoting it for, amongst other things). But IF you are depressed and IF you want to give CES a try, you should NOT take that decision without the knowledge and permission of your health care professional. To suggest that would be utterly unprofessional and irresponsible of me.

* Of the 26 studies published in peer-reviewed medical journals where the efficacy of CES in the treatment of depression was tested, ~80% showed a clear, significant benefit. The remaining studies were all done on devices that are no longer commercially available. So, on the whole, CES seems to work for most cases of depression - this is a point you and I both agree on.

* You and I would also agree that comparing different studies done on different modalities using different protocols remains controversial, but in my opinion it is more honest than quoting single studies to score marketing points (although I do quote single studies where appropriate). The placebo effect, as you note, is lower in many of the CES studies BUT the placebo effect has a much wider range than drugs (meaning that people don't know what to expect from CES). In one study (Lichtbroun, 2001), the placebo effect was actually higher than the highest placebo effect recorded for drug studies - and still the placebo contributed only one third to the anti-depressant effect.

* A low placebo effect indicates that patients have little expectation that the experimental treatment will work. This is in stark contrast to drugs, where there is a social expectation that the drugs ought to work. So, if there is little expectation for CES to work and it still shows such an impressive benefit (14 times better than Prozac reported in one article - Gilula & Kirsch, 2005), then we are not dealing with make-believe, but hard evidence.

* Recent publications (in the past two years) have shown that the drug companies actually selectively reported research data to the FDA in order to get registration for their antidepressant drugs. This practice draws into question even the results which I am using to compare with CES. I am giving the drug companies the benefit of the doubt, using their published (optimistic) data. And still CES is three times better.

* Another point we agree on: CES has virtually no side effects and in most cases where side effects occur, they are mild and disappear after a few treatments. The same cannot be said for antidepressants. Anyone who has used these drugs, or knows someone who has, can testify how deeply they affect quality of life.

* Further mindful of the fact that there exists no silver bullet solution to depression (or any other health issue, for that matter), I offer a 12 month money back guarantee. No drug company does that. If your antidepressant doesn't work, the drug company won't offer to refund your money. I believe it is ethical to do so. People shouldn't have to pay for something that doesn't work. I am putting my money where my mouth is and about 5% of clients take me up on my word.

Kind regards

Frank
