Green homes built from waste

For 30 years eco architect Michael Reynolds has been proving that we can turn waste into effective building materials and build green homes.
Using beer cans, car tyres and water bottles, Reynolds and his crew are producing thermal mass and energy-independent, eco-friendly housing and advancing the art of "Earthship Biotecture."
Along with this dedicated crew, Reynolds seizes the opportunity to help build green homes for those who need it most. He is devoted to building self-sufficient and off-the-grid communities. However, his experimental structures defy US state standards resulting in clashes with authorities. Reynolds continues to passionately lobby for the right to create a sustainable living test site.

Shot over three years and in the US, India and Mexico, Garbage Warrior is a documentary film telling the story of this radical eco architect and his fight to build off-the-grid green homes and self-sufficient communities.
